Sherlock was chosen as a tool for online access to, update and management of our QMS based on the following requirements:

1. The tool had to be developed by quality-people (with IT-knowledge), and not IT-people with quality-knowledge
2. The tool had to be userfriendly (from our perspective)
3. The tool should fullfill our needs and not more
4. The tool should be based on our Lotus Notes platform

Our experience is, that Sherlock meets our requirements at large. The templates that comes with Sherlock, build-in functionality and forms are designed in a way, that fits our needs without modification.
